Hawthorns Near Glasson
Oil on Gessoed card 6"x8"

First time out with the pochade for ages. I managed to grab and hour or so this afternoon and walked down to the river where the tide was turning. By the time I'd finished, much more of the saltmarsh was exposed and the river was a thin strip of pale gray in the distance.
The hawthorns are a remnant of a very old hedge that follow a line down to the high tide point.
