Lane to the shore, Arnside.
Oil on gessoed card,  6"x8"
It was rather dull and drizzly yesterday evening when I painted this. I sheltered sitting in the back of the estate car with the door up. When I'd finished I was on my way in about five minutes. I usually have quite a long hike back to the car

  1. Very atmospheric painting. The English landscape is very appealing to me, especially since we are in the middle of a drought and heat wave. I'd love to go back and paint in England. I did some sketching in London years ago, but thats all.
I like your work very much and signed up to follow your blog.

  2. Thanks for visiting Douglas and thanks for the comments.
We certainly do get a lot of changeable weather which makes for some interesting outdoor painting. Paul.
